Unique to this variety, Green Bartlett Pears brighten as they ripen, from green to yellow when ripe and ready to eat. When unripe, the texture can be gritty, but the ripe fruit has a distinct flavor and sweetness, and its white flesh has a smooth, buttery texture.
Our pears are from either Briermere Farms in Riverhead or the Milk Pail in Water Mill.
