The Red Jalapeño Pepper is sweeter and much hotter than the immature Green Jalapeño.
Slightly curved, conical pods tapering at the end with bright red skin. The Red Jalapeño Pepper averages 2-3″ in length and has a hot spicy bite that increases with maturity. These mature red pods often exhibit corking, or striated cracks across their body, a good indicator of their heat. It’s Scoville rating ranges between 2,000 and 10,000 units.
